REscan builds custom camera platforms and computer vision systems for fast large-scale 3D scanning and scene understanding. We get to play with self-driving car tech but use it to solve real human problems.
We’re a spin-off company of SRI International (www.sri.com) and looking for a highly talented (Ph.D. or equivalent experience) computer scientist with deep knowledge in Pointclouds and multiview geometry.
In particular, experience in surface reconstruction from Pointclouds, feature extraction from images, camera calibration and Bundle Adjustment.
The ideal candidate will have experience with large-scale LIDAR data, SLAM, Structure From Motion and would have worked with vision systems involving multiple cameras, depth and motion sensors.
Applicants are expected to have experience in a production environment and be familiar with industry standard development tools and techniques, such as Git, JIRA, and Agile project management.
