Multiple PhD Positions in Computer/Robotic Vision at Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, Australia.

Outstanding and motivated PhD candidates, with very good first Masters or honours degree in mathematics, computer science or science, are being sought to work as part of a research team on developing methods for solving a wide range of problems in computer vision, robotic vision and machine learning. A strong background in mathematics and some programming experience is desirable for this position. Experience in optimization, computer/robotic vision and/or machine learning is also meriting. The project is supported by the Australian Research Council and involves academic partners in both Europe and the US.

The successful candidate will work in a highly intellectual and cross-disciplinary research environment within the Robotics and Autonomous Systems (RAS) Discipline and Australia’s lead node for the $19M ARC’s Centre of Excellence in Robotic Vision. The PhD research project will complement this world class Centre and will provide an enriching research environment with discipline experts enabling a thriving intellectual environment.
